Guatemala Waykan
Gentle acidity of a freshly baked apple pie, subtle sweetness of ripe persimmon and scrumptious candied pecan - this is a perfect example of an 'everyday coffee'! From the first sip to last, it is a revitalising cup of coffee with no intensity, just pure comfort.
This coffee is a blend of varieties including Bourbon, Maragogype and Pache, swept across the beautiful landscape of Huehuetenango of Western Guatemala. In the Maya Q’qnjobal dialect of the region, “waykan” means “star, or light that shines in the sky at night.” The indigenous population in and round the area plays a significant role in coffee production, which makes up approx. 80% of the local economy.
