Ethiopia Chelbessa
It's like a visit to your favourite bakery from childhood... The sensation of biting into a freshly baked lemon tart is what you get from this coffee! We are also reminded of a Cherry Ripe chocolate bar too! We've had many coffees from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, but this one in particular has a distinctive zesty pop paired with a silky and long lasting sweetness.
These cherries are looked after by 500 small farm holders, who would bring their harvest to the centralised washing station at Chelbessa. They are then rinsed, sorted, graded and processed. For a natural process, the cherries usually spend 8-15 days as whole cherries on raised African beds depending on weather conditions.
